ANDREW LANZA ANNOUNCES
JAMES ODDO AS CAMPAIGN CHAIRMAN
Staten Island –
Councilman Andrew J. Lanza (R-South Shore), the official candidate of
the Richmond County Republican Party for the New York State Senate in
the 24th District, announced today that Councilman James Oddo (R-Staten
Island/Brooklyn) will serve as his campaign chairman.
"For more than four years, Andrew Lanza and I have been partners
fighting for the people of Staten Island. Day and day out, in ways big
and small, we have worked to improve the lives of Staten Islanders. Yes,
this campaign will be about that record -- what Andrew has achieved --
but it will also be about what Andrew Lanza can and will do in the State
Senate. I believe in Andrew. I trust his passion and his integrity. He
has proven what he can do for this borough and he will do even more as
our next State Senator. That is why I am proud to be his Campaign
Chairman.", James Oddo said.
"I am honored to have such a dedicated and honorable leader as my
campaign chairman. James Oddo and I have fought hard in the City Council
for lower taxes and better city services for Staten Island. He has been
my partner in combating overdevelopment and coming up with real
solutions to traffic problems on our island. I am proud to have his
endorsement, I am proud to have him as campaign chairman and I am even
prouder to call him my friend.", Andrew Lanza said.
Lanza, who has served the people of Staten Island for five years, is
endorsed by the Richmond County Republican party as well as Mayor
Michael Bloomberg, Congressman Vito Fossella and Assemblymen Vincent
Ignizio and Matthew Mirones.
